Editora CRV from Curitiba, Paraná, should soon publish the book we authored “How to build a world of peace, progress and happiness for all humanity” in Portuguese to reach the Portuguese-speaking public and also in English to reach a worldwide audience.
This book aims to present how to build a world of peace, progress and happiness for all humanity. The established premise is that this objective can be achieved if the great planetary utopias are realized with the aim of building a better world. Planetary utopias can be understood as the idea of an ideal, imaginary, perfect society and, therefore, considered by many to be unattainable. The opposite of utopia is dystopia which means a negative view of the future. In dystopia, moving or going to a better world is not possible. The purpose of this book is to point out how to eliminate the dominant dystopia and make the utopia of building a world of peace, progress and happiness for all humanity become a reality.
With this book, we seek to present our vision of what to do so that the utopias of building a better world become reality, such as the achievement of world peace, the construction of full democracy in all countries of the world, the prevalence of the values of civilization in society over the dominant barbarism, the construction of democratic socialism in all countries to replace the decadent capitalism dominant in the world, the construction of the Welfare State in all countries of the world to eliminate the growing global economic and social inequalities, make reality the rational use of nature’s resources in the world to end the depletion of the planet’s natural resources, avoid catastrophic global climate change, the elimination of economic and social chaos at national and global levels, the construction of green and smart cities in all countries to eliminate the existence of increasingly degraded cities in the vast majority of countries in the world, the use of science and technology exclusively for the good of humanity, preventing them from being used to produce evil, the achievement of the immortality of human beings, the achievement of humanity’s survival in the face of threats to its extinction caused by human beings, by the forces of nature existing on planet Earth and those coming from outer space and the achievement of happiness for human beings, individually and collectively.
Of all utopias, the achievement of individual and collective happiness deserves special consideration because the search for happiness is the central driver of everyone’s life, whether on an individual or collective level. Individual happiness is achieved through self-education because education is the means through which people would be empowered to make the best choices in life. The purpose of Education must be to make the individual acquire skills, develop critical sense, take possession of the scientific and cultural heritage historically built by humanity, but, above all, it must be an instrument to promote one’s own happiness and contribute , also, for the construction of collective happiness in the society where he lives. The achievement of collective happiness for human beings would result, in turn, from the successful construction of a world of peace and progress for all humanity that will take place in all quadrants of the Earth.
